院校基本情况

数学与信息科学学院，前身数学系始建于1931年。目前，学院下设数学与应用数学系、信息与计算科学系等2个系，拥有广西高校数学及其应用重点实验室、广西大学信息与系统工程研究所、广西高校人才小高地创新团队“运筹学与最优控制”；广西高校高水平创新团队“决策模型及其应用”和“优化理论方法及其应用”等5个研究机构与创新团队。另挂靠有两个研究中心和一个学会，分别为广西应用数学中心（广西大学）和广西数学研究中心、广西数学学会。学院于1984年获基础数学硕士点，2006 年获数学一级学科硕士点，2013 年被确立为广西唯一的数学一级重点学科，2021年取得数学一级学科博士学位授予权。研究生教育在基础数学、计算数学、概率论与数理统计、应用数学和运筹学与控制论等五个研究方向招收和培养研究生。本科教育设有数学与应用数学、信息与计算科学两个专业。其中，数学与应用数学专业获批国家级一流本科专业建设点。另设有“数学卓越人才”、“数理科学”、“信息科学”等创新培养实验班。近五年来，在Arch.Rat.Mech.Anal.、Indiana Univ. Math.J.、SIAM J. Optim.、Comput. Optim.Appl..utomatica等国际知名杂志上发表论文200多篇，主持国家自然科学基金项目34项（含国家自然科学基金重点项目1项），主持广西自然科学基金杰出青年科学基金项目5项，出版学术专著6部，获广西自然科学奖二等奖3项，有力支持学校“双一流”建设，支撑广西经济社会发展。
