What seems quite clear is that the proportion of studying occupies 58%, ranking the highest of all. Meanwhile, obtaining information and having fun take up 17% and 21% respectively. The chart, as everyone can see it, reveals a series of impressive data regarding the purposes of using mobile phones for reading among college students in a certain university.Several major factors, from my perspective, contribute to the origin of this phenomenon. To begin with, nowadays, mobile phones not only become a necessity for daily life but also an indispensable tool for learning. College students could easily take their preferred courses on their mobile phones as an excellent complement to the compulsory courses. What is more, smart phones, in this information age, can satisfy our need for a variety of contents. With easy online access, they can offer instant communication, loads of real-time information and entertaining contents for relaxing and business matters.

As discussed above, it is not surprising to see such differences. From my point of view, the fact that acquiring knowledge is certain to be the main purpose for mobile reading, will continue for a while in the future. Also, it is advisable for college students to choose digital contents wisely and arrange their study accordingly.
